Hello, I'm María José. One of my passions is ceramics, specifically stoneware modeling.
I have trained in different centers and workshops in Valencia for approximately 25 years.
Once retired, I dedicate myself to this passion.
Now I present to you the Fallas figures I've sculpted using the churro technique. As you can see, each one is different; they emerge from my imagination.
It's a slow process that takes 4 to 6 weeks depending on the finish of the piece. Those that are only glazed in white undergo two firings in a muffle furnace at 1,000 degrees Celsius.
The luster and gold ones undergo three firings, the last at 750 degrees.
